Three checks for a truly ergonomic office chair

[unclear] your chair pass an ergonomic check? Not every chair labeled ergonomic is actually ergonomic. Here's what to actually check. First, lumbar support. It needs to be adjustable, not just the curve in the plastic. If you can't move it to sit against your lower back, it's not doing its job. Second, tilt lock. You need to be able to lock the recline at different angles, not just free float or fully upright. Third, seat depth. There should be a gap of about two to three fingers between the back of your knee and the seat edge. So next time you see ergonomic on a chair, check these three things.
