What is a copier lease?

A copier lease is a rental agreement that runs for a set number of months. You choose the copier, we arrange the lease through APEX Rental Finance, and you pay monthly for the term instead of paying for the machine upfront.

Office printer lease, commercial printer lease, photocopier lease and copy machine lease are different names for the same kind of agreement. Our Toshiba multifunction copiers print, copy and scan, so one lease covers your printer and your copier.

Rent, lease or buy: which suits your business?

Which one is right depends on your cash flow and on how long you plan to keep the copier. We can quote you to rent, lease or buy, so you can compare.

• Rent month to month: no long contract. It suits a business that wants flexibility.
• Lease over 24, 36, 48 or 60 months: one monthly amount over the term. It suits a business that knows what it will need.
• Buy: pay cash or cash on delivery. It costs more upfront, and then the machine is yours.

Who qualifies for a copier lease?

To qualify for rental finance, a business must be a registered South African company that has traded for 3 years or more, with a turnover of R3 million or more.

How long is a copier lease?

A copier lease runs for 24, 36, 48 or 60 months. If you would rather not commit for that long, you can rent month to month instead.

What happens when the lease ends?

After the initial rental period you can buy the copier at a discounted rate, or carry on renting it.

Is servicing part of the lease?

Servicing comes with a separate service agreement that you sign with the lease. Parts, labour and call-outs are 100% covered, toner and consumables are included, and paper is not.

A technician is on site within 4 to 8 working hours of your call.

Commercial printer lease for print rooms and busy offices

For a print room, a school or a large company, the high-volume black-and-white copiers print 65 or 90 pages a minute, and the high-volume colour copiers up to 75 pages a minute in colour, with large paper capacity.

For a busy office or a team of ten to fifty people, the office series print 25 to 65 pages a minute, on A4 and A3.
